Wellness Habit Streak Counter
Local-storage tracker for daily healthy habits (hydration, stretching, walking).
Tick a habit you completed today. Your streak counts consecutive days with at least one check-in, saved in this browser only.
How it works
A streak is simply a run of consecutive days on which you checked in at least once. This counter stores one tick per day in your browser's local storage, so no account or server is involved, and it counts backwards from today, or from yesterday if you have not checked in yet, until it finds a missed day. The fourteen-day strip shows recent consistency at a glance, which is more honest than a single large number: it reveals gaps, recoveries and whether a habit is genuinely daily or only frequent.
How to read the result
A streak of one means you started today, which is exactly how every long streak begins. Do not let a broken streak feel like failure: missing a day ends the count, not the habit, and restarting the next day is the behaviour that matters. If streaks repeatedly break on the same weekday, the habit probably needs a smaller version for busy days, such as a five-minute walk instead of thirty.
One practical tip
Shrink the habit until it is almost too easy to skip. A two-minute stretch or a single glass of water counts as a check-in, and an easy daily win builds the identity of someone who shows up, which later supports bigger versions of the same habit.
If a habit keeps failing, make it smaller rather than trying harder at the same size; a habit that survives bad weeks is worth more than an ambitious version that only survives good ones.
